A once in forever day...in honor of the global warming concerts going on around the world, we are blogging in shades of green :-)Pups are 31 days old, today. They are on the move and really playing, trying to run and practicing growling & barking. They also have been playing with some of the older dogs. Wicked lies right down and gently mouthes and paws them. Getting pictures that are not totally blurry, is becoming a challenge-had to wait until they fell asleep after playing this AM, then woke them up for web update shots... I introduced little mini tippy board two days ago-it is very lightweight compared to the one I used to have. They are interested in making it move, but don't seem at all concerned, that it does.
I plan on starting to let them outdoors in the next few days, but we are going to have another heatwave, after several days of cool weather. We had a huge thunder & lightning storm that went on for over an hour, later in the afternoon yesterday. I startled, the pups startled, but after a few minutes Fflur nursed them and then the world was fine. They began to play, even with the world falling apart above their heads. I usually feed them when the vacuum is running for the same reason-change the association and change the response. I know my adult dogs know enough watching me, that when I am worried or stressed, if affects them. So with storms and like-stuff I always make it a party-we play ball, practice group fast downs for cookies, etc That way storms predict good stuff, and reduce the chance of an emotional response, to an environmental trigger that can not be controlled. We had fireworks later, and the whole crew slept right through it.I have to make a bigger tippy board for outdoors. Have a little more fencing to put up (after moving it around three times) and pegs to keep the bottom down, in parts up on the little hill. Hopefully, Clayton doesn't show them his technique he learned from Prose-of nosing the bottom for a weak spot...and "joining" me unexpectedly in the front.
They are starting to get lot's of visitors and I notice that they are really responding socially. They are seeing that people are fun. All crawl right into your lap and reach up to kiss your face-even Moss :-0
So, I will try to update the blog as often as I can...but I am a crappy typist...so what takes some people a nanosecond..
